Sept 25, 1930 - May 4, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Larry passed away Sunday morning, May 4. He was born on Sept. 25, 1930, in Konawa, OK to Laurie and Ruth (Glover) Dorsey. He graduated Capitol Hill HS in 1948. He then attended the University of Oklahoma and later studied at Oklahoma City University. It was during this time that Larry met and later married Billie Ruth Taylor on Aug. 29, 1951. Larry entered the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. He worked for Westinghouse Corporation, where he was a loyal employee for over 30 years. Larry was a faithful member of the Capitol Hill and later Trinity Churches of the Nazarene. Larry is survived by his wife, Billie; daughter, Kay Acosta & husband Larry; grandsons and wives, Denver & Elisabeth Acosta and Blaine & Hannah Acosta; great-granddaughter, Sadie Layne Acosta; brother, Jim Dorsey; and several nieces and nephews. Larry will always be remembered as a loving and generous man to a host of wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Larry's name to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or a . Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 7301 S. Walker, OKC, with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
