"Ronnie" April 29, 1946 - January 29, 2014 MIDWEST CITY Ronald Lynn Gasaway left this life on January 29, 2014 in Midwest City, OK. He was born in Ardmore. OK on April 29, 1946 to Ralph W. and Wanda L. Gasaway. He grew up in Del City, OK. After graduation from Del City HS he attended Central State College majoring in Business. Upon completing his college education he joined the U.S. Army Reserves in which he proudly served. Ron married Johnnie D. Russell on March 6, 1981. They had 32 wonderful loving years together. Ron worked most of his career as an office manager. He loved to fish, camp, snow ski, repair anything broken, and travel all over the great Rocky Mountains in Colorado. He enjoyed creating masterpieces out of wood. He could fix anything from house appliances to cars. He loved working out with weights and cutting his own firewood. Ron was especially proud of the "man cave" he and his son Jay built as an addition on the back of the house. Ron was always great in a crisis. He could take charge and handle any situation while others around him were falling apart. Ron was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Johnnie, son Jay and wife Tanya of OKC, daughter Wendy of OKC, sister Mary Witt and husband Thurman of Houston, TX, sister Shirley Wilkerson and husband Rick of Choctaw, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and 4 nephews. Ronnie, as his family lovingly called him, loved his Lord, loved his family and was a wonderful son, husband, and father. He will be missed by all who loved him. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Arbor House and Crossroads Hospice for all they did to take such great care of Ronnie. Services will be held in the Chapel at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home at 10:00am on Saturday, February 1. Graveside services will be at the Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK at 2:30pm.
