SchwarzAug 12, 1923 - July 6, 2014 NORMAN Viola Lucille (Guyer) Schwarz, age 90, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014. Viola was born August 12, 1923, to Samuel Paul and Annabelle Dunn Guyer in Lexington, OK, the second of five children. She is survived by her three sons, Harold and Dee Guyer, of Moore, OK; and Robert E., II and Sandra Schwarz, of Anderson, SC; and Kenneth A. Schwarz, of Largo, FL; and her little sister, Geraldine Curren, of Norman, OK. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Eugene Schwarz; her sisters, Imogene Stoner, Marjorie Guyer, and Nadine McCammon; and her grandson, Eric Todd Guyer. She started working at the Norman North Navy Base after finishing school in Washington, OK. She spent most of her years as a homemaker while the children grew up and her husband worked. She was known for being a very good seamstress and cook. After the children left the home, she worked at the North Highland School cafeteria in Britton, OK. Viola and her husband retired to Bolivar, MO, where her sister lived. When her husband predeceased her, she then decided to follow her sister and brother-in-law to Lawton, OK to live. After a bout with breast cancer, Viola moved into her son's home in Moore, OK and later, was moved to Eastgate Nursing Home/Medpark West Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Norman, OK because of being so frail. She enjoyed her friends wherever she lived and always made the best of what life offered. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, located at 120 S. Broadway, Moore. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF), 825 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
