October 31, 1916 - January 27, 2013 MIDWEST CITY Boneta A. Dupy was born October 31, 1916, and went home to her Lord on January 27, 2013 at 96 years of age. Boneta was born to Henry Thornhill and Della Kisner Thornhill. She was raised in northwest Oklahoma and graduated from Central State College in 1962. She taught school in the Mid-Del School System. She later earned a Master's degree and worked as the Reading Coordinator in the Mid-Del School System. Boneta is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Dupy, a son, Phillip Dupy, a brother, Howard Thornhill, sisters, Rita Thornhill, Viva Bendure, Ruth Vice, a beloved friend and Aunt, Ula Garst and a great granddaughter, Katherine Selvy. Boneta is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sharon Selvy and husband Don of Sierra Vista, Arizona, her son, James Dupy and wife Joy of Edmond, Oklahoma and daughter, Bonnie Sturgeon and husband Joe of Mount Pleasant, Texas. She is also remembered by 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Boneta loved attending church and reading her Bible. She was introspective by nature and had a calming effect on people. She enjoyed many hobbies, including reading, horseback riding, shuffleboard and bridge and could out-fish anybody in the boat. The visitation will be held at Paylor Funeral Home, 412 N. Air Depot, MWC 10am-8pm on Friday, February 1, 2013. The funeral service will be held at Ridgecrest Church of Christ, 1pm Saturday February 2, 2013, with Steve Chisholm officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
