Dec. 20, 1934 - July 24, 2013 MIDWEST CITY Donald Paul Revene was born December 20, 1934 to Paul and Mary (Blaney) Revene in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated St. Nicholas Grammar School, Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended Lincoln High School in Jersey City.After attending high school, he was employed at Chase National Bank, New York, New York. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952 and served on the USS Trathen DD 530 for two years. After an Honorable Discharge from the US Navy he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 where he served his country and family for the next 30 years. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant January 1, 1984 at Tinker Air Force Base. After retirement he was employed by The University of Oklahoma as Associate Director of Information Technology until 1997. He earned his BS in 1982 and his Master's Degree in Liberal Arts in 1985 from Oklahoma City University.Don was a Master Scuba Diver, avid golfer and history buff. He was also a long-time member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at Tinker Air Force Base where he served as a Eucuristic Minister.For 24 years every Saturday, he golfed with his best friends Michael Revene (son), Alan Brock, and O.D. Jenison.In 1960 he married Patricia Ann Ellyson, the love of his life, in Salina, Kansas, and they had six children.The couple renewed their wedding vows for the first time December 17, 1977 at the Catholic Church on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. The couple again renewed their vows in May, 1997 at Charleston, South Carolina in the battery on the harbor.Don is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Blaney, his father, Paul Revene, and sons, Steven and Mark.Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann; daughters, Patricia Dawn Mathis and husband Steve, Shawn Marie Morrison and Kimberly Brantley; and one son, Michael Revene and wife Carolyn; grandchildren include: Matthew Stephen Mathis and Jessica Dawn Allen, Ashley Dodd and Terry Morrison, Melanie Laurie and Steven Revene, Dan and Chad Brantley, and Michael Gaven, Gage Anthony and Garrett Paul Revene; great grandchildren include: Zacharia and Peyton Brantley, Blaine and Emma Dodd, Emily Brantley, Adian Revene, and Harley and Harrison Laurie. Funeral Services were held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler, Oklahoma on Thursday, August 1, 2013, with interment in Oak Park Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
