June 16, 1925 - March 31, 2013 YUKON Erma June Evans left to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born in Altus, OK June 16, 1925, to Dock Preston and Ione Sallee. She graduated from Dill City High School, where she met and married Ivan Evans in 1944. In 1949, Erma graduated from Oklahoma A&M (OSU) with a bachelor's degree in business education with honors. In 1957, she graduated from OU with a master's degree in business education. She taught high school business classes for 27 years with her last 19 years at Carl Albert High School. Erma's greatest love was her family: her husband of 68 years, Ivan; her brother, Harley Sallee; her son, Mark; grandsons, Hunter and Dylan; granddaughter-in-law, Megan; and great-granddaughter, Addison. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Oril Sallee; and sister, Thelma Moore. Viewing will be at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 12 to 8 p.m., and available at the church prior to the service. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Council Road Baptist Church, Council Road & 30th, Bethany. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
