Nov 11, 1961 - May 20. 2013 MOORE Gina Louise Coon Stromski was born November 11, 1961, the youngest of four children born to Harry and Dorothy Coon. She left us way too soon on May 20, 2013, in the Moore tornado. She was born and raised in south OKC and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1980. She worked for Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter for 20 years before retiring. Gina married the love of her life, Floyd Stromski, in January 2000, and he preceded her in death in 2008. She was fiercely independent, but kind, loving and generous to a fault - giving when sometimes she didn't have it to give. She was so strong but had such a soft heart and empathy when it came to other people. She was creative and multitalented in so many things. She had a special love of animals and loved her pets as her children. We take comfort in knowing she had her dog and constant companion, Wylie, by her side and was not alone. To say she loved OKC Thunder and OU football would be an understatement. Gina had a deep and abiding faith and love of God. She trusted Him in her daily journey. There can be no other explanation of how she had such strength through the trials she has endured over the past few years. Our only consolation is knowing she is safe in His arms and reunited with loved ones she missed so very much. She's reaping her heavenly rewards for her life of service to others. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Gayla Mullins; her husband, John, and their daughter, Jessica; brothers, Gary and Greg and their families; Uncle Lloyd and Joyce Austin; Val and Wilma Stromski; and also by her two (sister) friends, Cindy Warren and Marla Bryan, along with many friends and loved ones. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Resthaven Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
