"Jamie" Hobart, IISept. 15, 1972 - Nov. 22, 2017 EDMOND The Kitchen is usually quiet, the grills are cold, the cooks and servers bow their heads as they say a final "Bon Appetit" to Chef Jaime Hobart, of Edmond, OK. Son of Von Hobart, of Edmond, OK, and James Hobart, of Ventura, CA; daddy of Logan James Hobart, of Edmond, OK EMHS sophomore; brother of Rhonda Hobart Johnson, of OKC; uncle of Corey Collier, (Yvette Lola & Cam), of Las Vegas, NV; uncle of Casey Collier (Klara), of Edmond, OK. Jaime was a 1991 Edmond Memorial High School graduate; he attended OSU/OKC and OSU Culinary School in Okmulgee, OK, where he fell in love with the culinary world. Under the guidance of businessman, Pete Holloway, and the mentorship of friend and Chef Jimmy Stepney, Jaime became a true Chef, working in Boulevard Steak House, Ranch Steak House, Fish City Grill, Brooklynn's and Manhattan's. Jaime's fun spirit, his charm and beautiful smile, his love of family, friends, and food will forever be missed by those of us who knew and loved him. Special thank-you to Dr. Laurie Orme, Father Joe Jacobi, Tim White, the doctors and staff at St. Anthony Hospital OKC for their amazing care of Jaime, and all the friends that sent prayers. Friends and family are invited to visit from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 9th and Boulevard, Edmond, OK, with interment to follow at the Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, OK. Donations in Jaime's honor may by made to EMHS Booster Club or to Baptist's Boys Ranch, Edmond.
