L. William "Bill" Adel(1937 - 2017)

Nov. 15, 1937 - Nov. 27, 2017 EDMOND L. William "Bill" Adel, 80, was welcomed into his Savior's arms on Nov. 27, 2017 after a sudden and valiant battle with cancer. His faith in his God and his love for his family strengthened and sustained Bill throughout his life - unto the very end. Bill was born to the late Lambert and Jane Adel in Winner, SD on Nov. 15, 1937. His family later moved to Kenosha, WI where Bill grew up and attended high school, lettering in football and basketball. He also loved the Wisconsin outdoors dearly, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Bill married his high school sweetheart, Clara Marie DeYong, on May 17, 1958, in Racine, WI. He helped to raise their three children into a rich family heritage of faith in Almighty God, devotion to family, working hard, and "leaving things in better shape than you find them". Some of the fondest family memories are vacations spent together in a lake cabin in northern Wisconsin. Bill was a leader - in his church and in the workplace. He always led with great wisdom, godly character, and humble authority. Bill's encouragement, sharp wit, and charitable spirit endeared him to all who came to know him.Bill is survived by his wife Clara; his children Mike, Peggy, and John; his daughters-in-law Christy and Aaron, and his sister Barbara. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren - all of whom will greatly miss their "Paw-Paw".A memorial service will be held for Bill on Dec. 1 at 1pm at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Edmond, OK, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill's life.
