July 17, 1930 - January 26, 2013 DEL CITY Lois Loraine Barr, 82, passed away January 26, 2013 after a lengthy battle with illness. She was the first daughter of W.C. and Beulah Payne of Stratford, OK. Loraine was a devoted wife to her compassionate husband of nearly 65 years, Tandy Barr. She is also survived by daughter, Tandyla Hill; son, Ronald Barr; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Preston and Marvin Payne; sister, Darlene Leadbetter. A 60-year member of the Del City Church of Christ, she taught 3-year-olds and was known as the Birthday Bell Lady and the Bookmark Lady for the 2340 bookmarks she crocheted for members. Loraine was a patriotic citizen active in Moore PTA, serving every office, including President; President of the Moore Council of PTA's; State PTA Vice-President. She was named Moore's Woman of the Year in 1969 for her outstanding school and civic service. She was also named to the "Personalities of the South" in 1971.
