April 12, 1929 - Nov 17, 2012 MIDWEST CITY Ralph Cameron Lakin, 83, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was born April 12, 1929, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a 1947 graduate of Midwest City High School. Ralph retired from both the U.S. Air Force and from Boeing, where he was the Branch Manager of Technical Publications, writing flight operations and electrical support manuals. He was both an OU fan and an OSU fan, switching team hats depending on which team he was watching. He enjoyed golf, shooting, military history and anything to do with military aircraft. He was best known for his smile, which was always present until the very end. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Rena Lakin; by his brothers, Charles and Ron; and by his sister, Dodie. Ralph is survived by his wife, Vera; sons, Cam and his wife Robin, and Jeff; granddaughter, Brianne; numerous nieces and nephews; special nephew, Jason Lakin and his family; and stepson, Bob Tulloh.
