JUDITH STALLSMITH Obituary
StallsmithAug. 8, 1945 - Apr. 21, 2012 EDMOND Judy was born in Elk City, OK, to Don and Elsie (Frampton) Wilson. Judy attended public schools in Elk City and graduated Elk City High School in 1963. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta. She majored in Elementary Education and graduated with her Bachelor's in 1967. Judy Wilson met Jeff Stallsmith at First Presbyterian Church in Elk City, OK in 1959. Judy and Jeff were married in 1965. They established their home in Oklahoma City and later in Edmond, OK. They raised two sons, Jay and Jon Stallsmith. Judy was a loving wife and devoted mother. Judy taught in OKC Public Schools for 27 years. She taught kindergarten at Stonegate Elementary, which was her passion for 17 of those years. She holds many former teachers, peers and faculty along with former students with such high regard. She cherished the impact that they made on her life and career and always hoped and believed her contributions made a difference in their education and lives. Judy was an active member at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. Judy served with joy as a "Meals on Wheels" volunteer and many other service opportunities with the church. Her parents, Don and Elsie Wilson and brother, Bob Wilson predeceased her. Judy is survived by her loving husband Jeff; son Jay Stallsmith and his wife Stephanie, their two sons Reed and Ryan of Tulsa; son Jon Stallsmith of Oklahoma City; two nieces Dana Wilson Sipes of Nashville and Kelli Wilson Kilgore of Houston; and one nephew Sean Crotty of Columbia, MO. Judy had a circle of genuine, lifelong friendships and a loving and devoted family. She will be greatly missed by those who valued her gentle nature and good humor. Judy had a sparkle in her eye and tenderness of heart. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 25 from 4pm - 8pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services to celebrate her life will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10100 Ridgeview Dr., OKC on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00am with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
