Obituary Condolences

July 2, 1921 - Oct 7, 2012 MIDWEST CITY Rachel Geneva (Martin) Jones "Pete" was born July 2, 1921, to Henry & Ida Jane (Robinson) Martin on a farm near Milburn, Oklahoma, the youngest of nine children, all preceding her in death. The family moved to a farm near Rocky, OK when she was 7 years old. They later moved to a farm west of Dill City, OK nine miles west of Cordell. She attended school at Dill City, then moved to Oakland, CA during World War II, living with her oldest brother, Bill. While there, she met her late husband, Harold, when he was stationed at Alameda, CA in the Navy. After the war, they moved to New York, his home state, for seven months, then moved back to Oklahoma. To this union were born four girls, Carolyn, Sherry, Ella and Debbie; and one son, Harold Leslie, who preceded her in death in 1969 during the Vietnam War. She had a special son-in-law, Terry; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
