StringfellowJune 1, 1974 - April 12, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY Alan left this world and met his Heavenly Father April 12, 2018. He entered this world on June 1, 1974, welcomed by parents, Richard Earl and Nola Ann (Keith) Stringfellow. Alan graduated from Christian Heritage Academy, earned his associate's degree from OCCC, then his bachelor's degree from University of Central Oklahoma and master's from OU. Alan met the love of his life, Melissa, soon after high school, and they were married June 8, 1996. They were blessed with their son, Hunter, and from the moment of his birth, no father could have ever been more proud of his son. Alan worked at OCCC for 25 years. He began his career answering telephones part time and eventually, earned the position of Registrar and Adjunct Professor. He retired in 2017 due to health issues. Alan loved sports of all kinds and he especially loved watching his son play. He will be remembered as a kind man who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nolen & Joanne Keith and Earl & Helen Stringfellow; and uncles, David and Jim Keith. He leaves behind his wife, Melissa, and son, Hunter Alan Stringfellow, of the home; parents, Richard & Nola Stringfellow; brother, Brian Stringfellow & wife Jamie and their children, Tyler and Cale; sister, Amy Hailey & husband Randy and their children, Meghan and Gavin; sister-in-love, Sara Allbritton Baysinger; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday with the family present 6-8 p.m. at Vondel Smith Mortuary South Lakes. Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Emmaus Baptist Church, 16001 S. Western Ave. In lieu of flowers, to help with future expenses, donations may be made through HIS Purpose Foundation. Please make checks payable to HIS Purpose with "Stingfellow" in the memo line.
