WaswoOctober 18, 1934 - May 8, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Colleen Jeanette Buck Waswo, 78, of Oklahoma City, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Oklahoma City from complications of lung cancer. She was born October 18, 1934 in Gladewater, TX, to Oliver B. and Eva Marie (Crowder) Buck. Colleen married Bill Waswo in 1960. She graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1952 and Central State College in 1955. She lived in various locations throughout her life: McAllen, TX, Rio Grande City, TX, Thibedeux, LA, Deer Creek, OK, El Reno, OK, Cashion, OK, Eufaula, OK and Oklahoma City, OK. Colleen was a member of Mah Jong, Daughters of the Nile, Bridge Club, La Petite Soeur Book Review Club and Order of the Eastern Star. Colleen is survived by her husband Bill of the home, 2 sons John of Oklahoma City, and Jim and wife Kelly of Edmond. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters Eva and Lily and their mother Janet and Kacie as well as a sister-in-law Christine DiGiovanni and 2 nephews Robert and Ryan DiGiovanni.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 13, 2013, at Smith Memorial Chapel, Guthrie with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Cashion Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
