DANIEL WEBSTER Obituary
Jan. 20, 1945 - May 13, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK Daniel Owen Webster, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at his home, in Ventura, CA. He was born in Hanna, Oklahoma on January 20, 1945, to Artie Alva Webster and Nora Ella (Pattrick) Webster (deceased). His sisters are Barbara Sparks, Joyce Coughran, Kathleen Hixon, of California, and Shirley Harmon, of Oregon. After graduating from Arvin High, he joined the United States Air Force in 1963, serving a tour in Vietnam as a jet engine mechanic and honorably discharged in 1967. In 1968, Dan married Freda N. Smith and moved to Fillmore. They have a son Steven, daughter Michelle, step-son Charles Pesnell, five granddaughters and one grandson. Dan worked as an oilfield drilling supervisor for many years. He enjoyed traveling, cars, and working with his hands. Dan was a funny and caring person who was enjoyed by all those he came into contact with. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, 10:45 AM, at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Road, Arvin, CA. A Reception will follow nearby at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family as requested donations may be made to a Diabetes Research Foundation or your local Veterans Medical Foundation.Sympathy cards to the family should be sent to this address, 13017 Lindon Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73170.
