DAVID CANNON Obituary
Mar. 11, 1946 - Jan. 3, 2018 EDMOND David Richard Cannon, 71, passed away on January 3, 2018. The son of William A. and Emma Jean (Biggers) Cannon, David was born in Oklahoma City, OK, on March 11, 1946. David was a graduate of Midwest City High School, and was a proud Bomber football player and wrestler. He received a football scholarship to NEO. He was baptized at Country Estates Baptist Church in Midwest City, while in high school. David served for 29 years in the Army Reserves. He also worked and retired from TAFB as an industrial engineer tech. In his younger years, he flew model airplanes and enjoyed skeet shooting. David is survived by his wife, Mary Cannon; son, Richard Cannon; daughter, Brenda Silvernail; step-daughter, Linda Rose-Evans; brothers, George Allen Cannon and wife, Randy and Mark Lynn Cannon and wife, Tami; sister, Phyllis Jean Hill; mother of his children, Hedi Whitney and husband, Orion; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, OK. Interment to follow at 2:00 PM, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, in Elgin, OK. Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
