EDNA ROSIER Obituary
Aug. 29, 1920 - March 10, 2017 OKLAHOMA CITY Edna Dorothy (Sendall) Rosier, 96, joined her husband, Merle H. Rosier, in Heaven on Friday, March 10, 2017. Edna was born on Aug. 29, 1920, in Long Stratton, England. During the World War II era, Edna enjoyed dance halls and big band music, and that love of big band music continued throughout her life as she enjoyed the Lawrence Welk Show. She was working at a battery factory in Long Stratton when she met Merle in the "Angel Pub" before marrying him Dec. 9, 1943. While Merle served in the Air Force, Edna traveled with him to Germany before coming to America in 1951 and moving to their current home in Oklahoma City in 1953. She worked for 19 years at the Dreamhouse Motel in Oklahoma City, but her life revolved around caring for her family. Edna loved Bingo, card games and game shows. She enjoyed spending time shopping and watching her favorite TV shows, but most of all, she enjoyed holidays and family gatherings. Edna was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Laura; her husband, Merle H.; her youngest son, Merle J. "Butch"; and two of her grandchildren, David Sendall and Merle J. Junior "John-John." She is survived by her other three children, Kenneth Sendall, Brian Vincent, and Gloria Dutton; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Edna, better known as "Nannie" to her family, was one of the strongest people and remained just as strong and sharp with family by her side until the very end. She will forever be missed. The Funeral Service will be hosted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 S.W. 104th St., Oklahoma City.
