EUGENE CRYER Obituary
April 7, 1932 - July 9, 2017 EL RENO Eugene R. Cryer was born April 7, 1932, to John and Luessie (Finley) Cryer at Pauls Valley, OK. He died Sunday, July 9 in Oklahoma City at the age of 85. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 16 at the El Reno Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Arrangements are by the Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno. Eugene was wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who passed away after losing a valiant battle with cancer. He passed away in the home of his daughter after being lovingly cared for during his final days. Born of modest means, he rose to the top of his chosen profession as a specialty painting contractor. He worked hard to provide his family the things he never had growing up. He was best known for being a very generous, honest, and loving person who always put the needs of others first. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his half-brother, Joe Allen; and half-sister, Faye Ray. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Hays) Cryer; son, Gary Cryer and wife Emily, of Stroud, OK; daughter, Teresa Cryer Melton and husband David, of Oklahoma City; brother, Howard Cryer, of Tulsa; sisters, Irene Reeder and Yvonne McGraw, both of El Reno; and Inez Wilson, of Mustang; six grandchildren and their spouses; and 14 great-grandchildren.
