JACK KING Obituary
May 15, 1923 - July 12, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Jack Edward King, 90, passed away July 12, 2013, in Oklahoma City, OK. Jack was born May 15, 1923, in Phoenix, AZ to David and Helen (Binkley) King and moved to Oklahoma as a child. Jack served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served for over 30 years as an air materiel supervisor at Tinker Air Force Base before retiring in 1978. Jack was a member of Myrtle Masonic Lodge, where he led as Worshipful Master in 1992. He was also a member of the Brookwood Baptist Church, where he enjoyed his much-loved Sunday school friends and pastor. He enjoyed activities such as the game of golf, gardening and cooking, traveling and raised award-winning pecans. He was married to the love of his life, Wanda Marie King, for 70 years. Jack was preceded in death by his two sisters, Myrtle and Margaret; and by two brothers, Frank and Vincent. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; half-sister, Wanda Mae; his loving family, to which he was devoted: his son, David King and wife Carolyn; and his daughter, Marilyn King-Festa and husband James. He adored his three grandchildren, Mike King and wife Heather, Jeff King and wife Sarah, and Monica Aiello and husband Tyler. Jack proudly participated in their activities. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Connor King, Gabriel King, Seth David King, Cole King, Cameron King, Anise Aiello and Quinn Aiello. Jack was very close to his cousins; sister-in-law, Jimmie King; and his many nieces and nephews. Jack was a kind and loyal friend to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
