Jan 22, 1939 - July 13, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Lloyd R. Trenary, 73, passed away on July 13, 2012. Lloyd was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Lloyd was successful in many endeavors; however his greatest professional love was working with friends and clients as a Certified Public Accountant. Lloyd was very dedicated to his work and leaves behind the successful accounting firm of Trenary & Company. Lloyd loved to be busy and, as a young man, worked cattle with his father on their ranch in Chandler. Before his passing, he continued his love of ranching at Clay Crossings in Purcell, OK. He loved Sooner football and was a loyal fan right up to the end. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hartley L. "Buck" and Mae Ruth Trenary. Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Linda Trenary. Lloyd had three children: son, Ty Trenary and wife Vicki, and grandchildren, Ashlee and Morgan, Seattle, WA; daughter, Kelly Martin and husband Curt, and grandchildren, Hailey, Macy, and Riley, Highland Village, TX; and daughter, Leslie Rycroft and husband Jeff, and grandchildren, Jacob, Corbin, Sam, and Taylor, Oklahoma City. Lloyd is also survived by his two brothers: Frank and Connie Trenary of Edmond; and Phillip and Bridget Trenary of Memphis, TN; one uncle, Kenneth and Pat Trenary of Enid, OK; and one aunt, Maxine and Roy Erickson, Quinlan, TX. Lloyd was fortunate to work with Summer Mauldin, who served him loyally and was part of his extended family. Lloyd is also survived by his longtime friend and extended family member, Joe and Meadowlark Washington of Baltimore, MD. Lloyd was part of a large family and has numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will miss him. Lloyd loved his dog, Chanel, and she was his beloved companion.Lloyd graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1957. He served as a sergeant in the Oklahoma National Guard. Lloyd was a strong believer in education, having taught accounting at Oklahoma City University, Phillips University, and the University of Colorado. He was a member of the Oklahoma Accountancy Board, the Oklahoma Society of CPA's, and the Oklahoma Cattleman's Association. Lloyd believed very strongly in Youth for Christ and served for many years on their executive board. In 2006, Lloyd was named Man of the Year by Youth for Christ in Oklahoma City. Lloyd loved to be active and enjoyed spending weekends on Lake Texoma in Kingston, OK. He was very proud of his family and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. The family would like to thank Dr. Ron White, Lisa, and Melissa for their loving medical care and continued friendship to our husband, father, and friend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southside Youth for Christ at P.O. Box 22245, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Crossings Community Church - Chapel, 14600 North Portland Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK, with burial to immediately follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City.
