MARION BOWLAN Obituary
April 20, 1927 - July 31, 2017 OKLAHOMA CITY Marion "Pat" Bowlan was laid to rest on August 9, 2017 at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Born on April 20, 1927, Pat was proud to be a Native Oklahoman and a lifetime fan of the Oklahoma Sooner Football team. Pat was the Advertising Manager of the Oklahoma Teacher magazine for many years. Her "people loving" skills enhanced her performance there. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Gafford Thomas of Lake Tahoe, Ca. and Robbie Gafford Humphries of Plano, Texas. She was so proud to be the Grandmother of four and Great Grandmother of seven. Pat's happiest years were from 1980-2007 while she was very happily married to Sizemore "Si" Bowlan. The couple were active members of Quail Springs Baptist Church. They loved their participation in Leisure Live Wires especially. Pat was a member of Junior Hospitality Club, The Salvation Army Women's League and Ladies Music Club supporting the community.Pat's Family would like to thank her cousin Teelaine Harvey of Edmond Oklahoma, the wonderful staff at Dorset Place Memory Care and Centennial Hospice for caring and supporting her in her final years. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.Memorials in her name can be made to The American Breast Cancer Foundation or American .
