1936 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
May 13, 1936 - May 8, 2017 OKLAHOMA CITY Michael Lewis Harmon, 80, passed away on May 8, 2017. He was born May 13, 1936 in Ardmore, OK, to Lewis and Naomi Harmon. Mike grew up in Oklahoma City and attended school here. After school he enlisted in the Air Force and a variety of jobs followed including Tinker, the post office and then the Santa Fe Railroad, where he worked for 32 years. Upon retiring, he found he didn't like it and he went back to work as a janitor in churches, the latest being Westminster Presbyterian Church where he was happy and found a host of new friends. A thoughtful and well-humored man, he was most devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maxine; daughter, Melissa; granddaughters, Sarah and Diana, Lily and Daisy; great granddaughters, Jayme and Autum; daughter-in-law, Lisa. All of whom had a special and unique relationship with him. He adored them and tolerated his boys, David, Richard and Tyler. Preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sandy and brother, Larry. He is also survived by his sister, Sheila and husband James Luton, brother, Lance and his wife Sandy, and sister-in-law, Helen, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 12th, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mike loved everyone and everyone loved him. Rest in Peace Mike?.we love you.
