1932 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Oct. 21, 1932 - March 9, 2018 BETHANY Norman Lee Enterline was born on Oct. 21, 1932, near Perryton, TX to parents Earl & Geneva (Law) Enterline. Norman attended schools in Perryton, TX and Balco, OK. Norman served in the military during the Korean War and was stationed in South Korea near the 38th Parallel. While there, he had the good fortune of visiting Tokyo, Japan, for sightseeing. After his discharge from the army, he enrolled at the Bethany-Peniel College (now SNU), Bethany, OK. While in college, he married and became the father of his only child, Tammy. After growing up and marrying, she presented Norman with three grandsons, whom he adored, Stephen, Jesse, and William. William & his wife, Lauren Howell, are missionaries in the Far East. Norman later enjoyed a 38-year marriage to Betty Jo White, who preceded him in death in 2001. In 2003, Sammye Hinkle entered a 15-year marriage with Norman; she says they were not only marriage partners, they were best friends. Norman was a man of strong faith and was a longtime member of Bethany Nazarene Church. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, along with four brothers and one sister. Viewing will be from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. A Celebration of Norman's Life will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, OK with interment in the Bethany Cemetery.
