Nov. 16, 1945 - Oct. 7, 2017 OKLAHOMA CITY Virginia Watts, 71, passed away on the 7th of Oct. 2017 at her home, in Oklahoma City. She was born on Nov. 16, 1945, in Cyril, OK to Albert and Eldie (Tinsley) Wray. Virginia grew up in Cyril, OK. She graduated from Cyril High School in 1964. After high school, she moved to Oklahoma City and began working for Western Electric, where she worked for 35 years. Virginia married Carl Watts in Oklahoma City. They shared many happy years of marriage. Virginia was a devoted Oklahoma City Thunder fan and enjoyed cheering for her boys in blue. Virginia always had a smile on her face when it came to her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "The Nana." She loved her "Thelma & Louise" trips with her best friend, Linda. Virginia adored her clown of a husband, always joking that he wore more makeup than she did! Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Eldie Wray; one brother, Gary Wray; and a granddaughter, Dezawray Allison. Virginia is survived by her spouse, Carl Watts, Oklahoma City; daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) Malone, of Wray, CO; her grandchildren, Charlie (Faith Craddock) Malone, of Oklahoma City; and Logan Malone, Wray, CO; stepsons, Mark (Jeanie) Watts, of Opelika, AL; Terry (Karen) Watts, of Mustang, OK; and Larry (Sandi) Watts, of Dibble, OK; her sister, Joy (Bill) Marcum, of Midland, TX; her brother, Charles (Ellen) Wray, of Yukon, OK; a sister-in-law, Fran Wray, Duncan, OK; brother-in-law, Robert (Gene) Watts, of Oklahoma City; step-grandchild, LeaAndra Carter, of Oklahoma City; her lifelong friend, Linda Dawdy; her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends she touched along the way. Service are at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N. Asbury Ave., Bethany, OK, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10 with family greeting friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be left on Virginia Watts online guest book at www.mercer-adams.com www.mercer-adams.com
