March 21, 1922 - March 15, 2014 MIDWEST CITY W.T. "Dub" Winkler, 91, of Midwest City, passed away March 15, 2014, in Oklahoma City. W.T. was born to Thomas E. & Edna (Chilcote) Winkler near Meeker on March 21, 1922. W.T. was the youngest boy in the family of ten and worked in construction and farming in his younger years. Dub served in the 46th Battalion, U.S. Navy Seabees in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, Dub spent his working career as a union carpenter in Oklahoma City. He married Ruth Marie Adair on March 21, 1945. Dub was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and four sisters. Dub is survived by his children: Gary and Mary (Lupe) Winkler, of Harrah; Terrell Winkler, of Midwest City; Lisa and Mark Dolph, of Tulsa; and Holly and Carl Crowe, of Bentonville, AR; sisters: Dolores Shingleton, of Claremore; and Verna Dykstra, of Citrus Heights, CA. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment at 4 p.m. at the Jamison Cemetery, McLoud, OK.
