May 16, 1927 - April 25, 2014 MOORE Virgil, 86, went to be with the Lord April 25, 2014. The son of Kenneth & Lucille Chapman, Virgil was born May 16, 1927, in Blue Mound, IL. On Feb. 14, 1948, Virgil married the love of his life, Ina Elizabeth Cook, and together, shared more than 66 years of marriage and raising a family. He provided a warm and loving home for his family by working as a truck driver. He was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union. In 1966, the family moved from Mount Zion, IL to Moore, OK. While in Florida, Virgil was active in the Auxiliary. A hardworking, devoted family man, Virgil will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Richard and Vincent; sisters, Shirley and Barbara; a daughter, Deborah Chapman; and son, Darrell Chapman; he leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Ina Elizabeth Chapman; sons, David Chapman & wife Sue and Tim Chapman & wife Brenda; daughters, Cindy Mackey & husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Nicki Chapman; brother, Dale Chapman; sisters, Norma Agase and Sue Chapman; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Vondel Smith S. Western. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 at the South Colonial Chapel.
