He is survived by his brother, John B. Mork of Sacramento, CA, children, Peggy L. Phillips, of Norman, OK, Joe D. Ross, Sr., of Covington, WA, John F. Mork and Rene Buchanan both of Oklahoma City, OK, and their spouses. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and his partner, Terry Juarez of Cushing, OK. Upon returning to America at the age of 25, he joined the U.S. Army where he eventually served as a paratrooper medic during the Vietnam War. Henrik retired from the Army in 1972 at Fort Gordon, GA and moved back to his wife's home state of Oklahoma where he pursued interests in law enforcement leading to a stint as a Reserve Sheriff's Deputy. His experience with the Sheriff's office led him to joining the Shawnee Emergency Management organization with whom he served up to his death. His hobbies included photography, woodworking, and amateur radio. He loved watching wildlife from his back yard and storm chasing, first with his wife Angela and then with his partner Terry. Henrik was very much loved and will be missed by many. Memorial services will be held Saturday 2:00pm at Reflection Pointe Gathering Center, 10900 N. Eastern Rd., Oklahoma City OK 73131.
