James Wade Obituary
James "Buddy" Wade, 62, now resides in the presence of Jesus having come to the end of this life on 2/7/11 in Oklahoma City. He was born in OKC on Jan. 24, 1949 to Joanna Peschl and George Wade. Wade was a lifelong resident of OKC except for his time in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in Viet Nam from Jan. 1969-Feb. 1970. He also was in the United States Army where he did a tour in Germany. He was a '67 graduate of Northwest Classen High School and attended Central State University in Edmond. As a restaurant "coordinator", he made many friends at the old Split-T and more recently, before his retirement, at Mamasita's. Wade, an ardent OU Sooner fan, always enjoyed pickin' winners of collegiate football and basketball games as well as playing poker with his buddies. The family extends their gratitude to nurses Karen and Jason at Integris Baptist Hospital for the care they demonstrated so tenderly and professionally for our "Buddy". Wade was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother Joanna Peschl, sister Luanna Ireton and husband Richard; nephews Greg Ireton and wife Tasha, Mark Ireton and wife Elizabeth; and his "delight" great-nephews, Daniel Ireton and Carson Ireton, and his "little beauty" great-niece, Camryn Ireton. In lieu of flowers, because of Wade's affection for "critters", donations can be made to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society. Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Oakwood Cemetery in Edmond.
