August 31, 1922 - July 2, 2011 PLANO, TX Naomi Wilson, 88, formerly of OKC, passed away July 2, 2011 in Plano, TX. Naomi was born in Apache, OK to Philander and Marie (Wartchow) Sims. She was a devoted mother and wife who dedicated her life to taking care of her family and providing them with a warm, loving home. Naomi was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church in OKC. After moving to Texas, she became a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church in Plano where she was a member of the Disciples Sunday School Class. Naomi also enjoyed being a member of the Eastern Star as well as the W.S.C.S. (Women's Society of Christian Service). She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Phil and Marie Sims; husband, Bo Wilson; and son, Donny Wilson. Naomi is survived by her daughter Paula Marie Smith of Plano, TX; daughter-in-law Janey Wilson of Milton, DE; grandson Todd Wilson of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter Kellee McDonald of Plano, TX; the loves of her life, her great grandchildren Garrett and Camryn McDonald of Plano, TX; sister Phyllis Alberty of Tulsa, OK; brother Carl Sims of Midwest City, OK; brother Claude Sims of Apache, OK; sister Mary Hanson of Tulsa, OK; and brother Joe Sims of Moore, OK. Viewing will be 4-8 PM Wednesday and Thursday at Vondel Smith/South. Services to celebrate her life will be 11:00 AM Friday at Vondel Smith's South Colonial Chapel.
