Obituary Condolences

Feb 24, 1931 - June 14, 2013 YUKON Leona Ratliff went to be with her Savior June 14, 2013. She was born in Vinita, OK on Feb. 24, 1931. She leaves behind her husband, Carrol Ratliff; three daughters, Suzan Carrol Lombardi, and Teresa Lynn Ratliff, Jeanne Lea Lujan, of Taylorsville, KY; and one sister, Kay Pickard-Kilgore, of Muskogee. Leona worked in all of her churches: Tulsa, OK; Aurora, CO; Littleton, CO; and San Jose, CA; for over 20 years. In California, Leona designed the entire preschool department in 1978; she also served on the building committee while the church building was being built. In 1980, Leona also served on the Pastor Search Committee, bringing a new Pastor to Oak Grove Baptist. She organized a Tuesday Visitation Program; visits were made in homes of members, but also the homes of visitors in church the previous Sunday. Usually there were four or more women present on the visitation team. Carrol & Leona were members of 11 Southern Baptist Churches, seven in Oklahoma, two in Colorado and two in California. Leona is also survived by four granddaughters, one grandson and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Sunday, 1-8 p.m., and Monday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends on Monday, 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Yukon, with interment following at 3 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Muskogee, OK.
