Richard Earl English

1947 - 2019

Richard Earl English
April 13, 1947 - May 24, 2019

On Friday, May 24, 2019, Richard English, loving husband and father of two beautiful daughters, passed away at the age of 72. Richard was born on April 13, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan to Arthur Clyde English and Mary Evelyn (Bradford) English. After graduation from Star Spencer High School in 1966, Richard married the loved of his life, Barbara Rains, on August 25, 1967. Richard was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing, going to the sand dunes with his dune buggy, building and flying Remote Control airplanes, and working on cars. He had a passion for tinkering. He loved his career of commercial construction, but his passion was turning his ideas and dreams into projects to help himself and others. From metal to wood to concrete, there were no limits to his ingenuity, imagination and skills. He was always the first to help anyone, and to give everything he had to make someone else's day just a little better. There was never any project too big for him to tackle and his favorite saying was "You can't break it if it's already broken". Richard, preceded in death by his father, Clyde and mother Mary, is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara; brother Tom English; sister Janet Rains; two daughters, Vicki and husband Mike Harris of Choctaw, Lisa and husband Ronnie Tillman of Choctaw; grandson, Clayton Heuser; granddaughter, Alexis Heuser; grandson, Jesse Tillman and family; grandson, Ryan Tillman and family; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Hibbs Funeral Home, 2190 North Harper Road, Choctaw, OK 73020.
