Beverly A. MyersGraveside Commital Services for Beverly A. Myers of Edmond, formerly of Oklahoma City, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the El Reno Cemetery. Dr. Burrel McNaught, Assoc. pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City. Father Dale Petley, Associate Rector will officiate. Mrs. Myers left us Sunday evening January 24, 2010 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. She was born on May 23, 1928 in El Reno, Oklahoma. Beverly had lived in El Reno andwas a graduate of El Reno High School. She attended O.S. U. and O.C.U. She was a member of the All Souls Episcopal Church, Oklahoma County Women's Dental Auxiliary where she was a past president, P.T.A., Book Club, and Investment Club.Beverly Ann Buird married Dr. Robert Lewis Myers on August 31, 1949 in the Wesley United Methodist Church in El Reno, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker. A generous spirit, she loved to make friends, sharing her warmth and time. Considerate and sensitive to all, she enriched the lives of many. The heart and soul of her family, Beverly prepared thirty years of Sunday family dinners and treasured those evenings more than anything. Gifted far more in the giving rather than receiving, Beverly leaves us saddened for her loss but inspired by her presence in our lives. We love you Mur. She was preceded in death by her parents: A.K. & Lealia E. (Williams) Buird, her husband Dr. Robert L. Myers. Survivors include 2 daughters: Cindi Shelby & husband Mike of Edmond, OK, Cathy Dempsey & husband Dr. Gary Dempsey of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 sisters:Joyce Lechtenberg of Pleasant Hills, CA, Bernice Miller and husband George of West Texas, Jeanette Ledbetter & husband Dr. Don Ledbetter of Oklahoma City, OK; 4 grandchildren: Connor Dempsey and wife Trisha, Caitlin Dempsey, CathleenShelby and Chloe Shelby. Numerous other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation,825 N.E. 13th St. OklahomaCity, OK 73104.
