1943 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Jan. 31, 1943 - March 2, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY Beverly Jean Taylor, 75, passed away peacefully on March 2 in her home after a long illness. Beverly was born on Jan. 31, 1943, in Bee Creek, IL to Glenn Silkwood and Lena Foster-Taylor. Beverly is survived by her husband of 60 years, Cordell. Her son, Ricky Allen Taylor, preceded her in death. Surviving sons are Christopher Taylor and wife Jackie and their son, Allen and wife Michelle Clonts; Zachary Taylor and wife Dana and their son, Zane and wife Chelsie, and daughter, Ashley Carter and husband Jason; and Harvey Taylor and wife Traci and their daughters, Dora Olivares and husband Sergio, Megan Gibler and husband Aaron, and Sarah Taylor. She was blessed with several great-grandchildren, Blake, Madilyn, Gracie, Olivia, Sergio, Nia, David, Sophie, and Zaiden. Her surviving siblings include sister, Rosa Whitley; and brothers, Lyndell Taylor and Danny Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Silkwood. Beverly was a loving, unselfish mother and wife. She was a homemaker for several years before pursuing a career in civil service. She retired from Tinker AFB and, upon retirement, owned and operated the Circle C motel in Arnett, OK with her husband. Upon her second retirement, Beverly spent time with her husband, family and friends. Visitation will be at John M Ireland and Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 120 South Broadway Street, Moore, OK, on Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Beverly's Memorial Service will be at the same location on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, friends are requested to make donations to the Mercy Health Foundation. The family of Beverly wishes to thank Mercy Hospice and especially nurse Dolores for loving, compassionate care. Interment will be at the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
