McConaghieJune 25, 1939 - Sept. 1, 2018David was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, graduating from SE High School (1957) then joining the US Air Force. He began his career as a dental technician in 1962 at V.C. McConaghie Co., alongside his parents and older brother Clark. David retired and sold the business in 2012.He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church; served as potentate of India Shrine in 1983, was a 33rd Degree Mason, volunteered for Crossroads Hospice and Thomas the Train. From childhood, David had a great passion for music.David married his soulmate Kathy, in 1962 and together they raised two daughters. He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters, Terri (Keith) Bryant and Mikele (Jim) Nunnelee; his sister Marilyn (Mark) Lord and a special aunt, Bonnie Nix. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-granchildren.David was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Vernon and brother, Clark McConaghie. David was a generous, loving man who always had a joke...always!A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 1pm at Southern Hills Baptist Church with a reception immediately following (Dr. Douglas O. Melton officiating). Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral Service on Wednesday from 10am-8pm with the family greeting friends from 6-8pm.
