June 18, 1941 - May 14, 2018 YUKON Dennis Kay Woodard, 76, Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at home after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Dennis was born on June 18, 1941 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, son of Alvin Dea and Lela Mae (Warren) Woodard. He married Jane Nelson Woodard on June 18, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dennis graduated from Guthrie High School in 1959, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965, and attended college at Southwestern College in Bethany. Dennis worked as a supervisor during his 38 year career at Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent in Oklahoma City. After retiring, Dennis loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid golfer and enjoyed bass fishing. He was a lifelong fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, St. Louis Cardinals, and OKC Thunder. Dennis is survived wife, Jane Woodard; sons, Jeff Woodard and wife, Karen, Chris Woodard and wife, Shawnna, and Ryan Woodard and wife, Stefanie; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Parkerson and husband, Cory, Wade Woodard and wife, Jordan, Case Woodard, Clay and Emma Woodard, Kaelyn, Callie, and Cole Woodard; brothers, Richard Woodard and wife, Eddie Joyce, Billy Woodard and wife, Josie; sisters Joyce Majors and Jan Woodard. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Woodard.Funeral services will be at 2pm Friday, May 18, 2018, at McNeil's Funeral Service in Mustang, Oklahoma. Pastor Michael Staton will officiate the service. Burial will be held at Mustang Cemetery. Visitation will be held at McNeil's Funeral Service from 1-8pm on Thursday, May 17.
