1927 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
July 5, 1927 - October 4, 2017 OKLAHOMA CITY Marilyn Anne Kramer was born the middle child of three daughters to Otto and Lillian Kramer July 5, 1927 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. She passed away peacefully from her earthly existence October 4, 2017 and will be missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Doris Gene Amos (Jack), and her brother-in-law, Arlen McNeil. Marilyn is survived by her sister Margaret Ellen McNeil, nieces and nephews; Richard & Muffin McNeil, Jan & Jerald Porter, Sharon McNeil and Damien Stafford, Richard & Jenny Amos and ten great nieces and nephews. Marilyn lived her school age years in Oklahoma City, before graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 1947. She went to work with the State of Oklahoma as a social worker and also worked for Sabena and American Airlines in San Francisco and Dallas. She went back to school and received her MSW in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She retired from the Department of Child Psychiatry at the OUHSC in 1974.Marilyn had a productive and interesting life, traveling extensively in the US and abroad. She was a free spirit who always carried the lightness of a child's heart. It never took much to amaze and delight her as she truly saw joy in the smallest of things in life from birds to butterflies, from glorious sunsets in all the places she visited to the delight in a small child's eyes to animals large and small. She loved her home and her water garden including her beloved fish which gave her so much pleasure. A family memorial service will be held at Epworth Villa on Friday, October 13, at 10:00am.
