PEGGY HERRON Obituary
April 3, 1954 - September 29, 2018 NEWCASTLE Peggy, 64, moved to her heavenly home on Sept. 29, 2018. The daughter of Alice Ruth (Hicklin) & Bruce William Dawson, Peggy was born on April 3, 1954 in Sentinel, OK. She was part of the Lord's family and a member of Oakcrest Church of Christ. In 1970 while attending Southeast Church of Christ she met and fell in love with Dwight Herron. They later married on June 2, 1972 and began raising their family. Peggy loved reading her Bible, music, singing, laughter and children of all ages, but nothing in this life was more important to her than the precious moments she spent with her family. She was known for her incredible cooking and will be fondly remembered for her beautiful, warm smile. She will be deeply missed. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Keith Dawson. She leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years: Dwight D. Herron; son: Drew Garett Herron & wife, Melissa; daughters: Sarah Kristine Bryant & husband, Jeremy and Emily Rachelle Mestas & husband, Eddie; parents: Bruce & Alice Dawson; brothers: James Dawson & wife, Linda and Mark Dawson & wife, Jennifer; sister, Connie Dawson; 7 grandchildren: Garrison Mestas, Braxton Mestas, Aiden Bryant, Kennedy Mestas, Avery Herron, Benjamin Herron, Lainey Dean; her precious nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins as well as a host of family and friends. Viewing will be 4-8 PM Wednesday & Thursday at Vondel Smith South Lakes with the family greeting friends 4-8 PM Thursday. Services to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at Oakcrest Church of Christ, 1111 SW 89th St., with burial following at Newcastle Memorial Gardens.
