RALPH CRAWFORD Sr. Obituary
February 3, 1925 - July 29, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY Ralph A. Crawford Sr., 93, went to Heaven July 29th, 2018. He was born in Nowata, OK to James M. and Nanny Crawford. He trusted Jesus as Savior in 1936. After high school in Nowata, he was drafted into the Army Air Corps and served as an Electrician, helping build runways in Italy during WWII as part of the 449th Bomb Group of the 15th Air Force. After the war, he graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and then Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. While at OBU, he met his wife, Beverly. Married in 1947 and ordained in 1949, they served in the ministry for 60 years and were married over 71 years. Ralph pastored Southern Baptist Churches full-time in Enid, Ryan, Ada, Del City and Oklahoma City. He retired from Olivet Oklahoma City after serving there over 25 years. In retirement, he served as interim pastor for 13 churches from 1990 to 2007.He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, on June 11th. He is survived by his younger brother, Ray Crawford of Kansas City, MO; his two boys, Ralph Jr. and wife Laura, and Craig and wife Gwen; his grandchildren, Christopher, Taylor, and Elizabeth; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Jake. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, August 4th, 10am at the Olivet Baptist Church with interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
