ROY BRAZELL Obituary
Oct. 18, 1927 - Jan. 4, 2019 CHOCTAW On the evening of Jan. 4, 2019, Roy passed from this earth and through the gates of heaven to our loving Lord and was greeted by his father and mother, Roy L. and Adelia (Klopff) Brazell; and his siblings, Gladys Russell, Viola Page, Don Brazell and Robert Brazell. Roy was born in Wentworth, SD on Oct. 18, 1927. At the age of 17, he entered the Air Force, serving his country for 26 years, participating in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Upon retirement, he joined the Air National Guard. His mission in both services was flying in airplanes; his last assignment was as a flight engineer on the C-124. He then became a civil service employee at Tinker AFB. Roy was a member of Choctaw Kiwanis Club and served as Governor of Texas-Oklahoma District in 1995-96. Roy is survived by his wife, Dee Brazell; one son, his two daughters, four wonderful grandchildren, his seven delightful great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who thought the world of him. Service for Roy will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw with Brother Ray Sikes officiating.
