He was a retired corporal with the Oklahoma City Fire Dept., where he served for 22 years. He began his career as a volunteer firefighter with Yukon, where he grew up. Tom loved working as a firefighter. He was also an Emergency Medical Technician and responded to the Alfred P. Murrah Bombing. Tom graduated from Yukon High School in 1978.
