John Adams Obituary
John Edward Adams was born 5-20-39 to Dess and Erby Adams and joined Jesus 2-9-10. He was a graduate of Northwest Classen and the University of Oklahoma where he was President of Kappa Sigma and a Distinguished Military Student. John served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army. He began his career as a stockbroker with F.I. Dupont and trained on Wall Street. He was associated with numerous brokerage firms before founding Adams, James & Foor in 1977. In 1983 the company was ranked #2 in the nation by Venture magazine for the IPO aftermarket performance. John started his own investment banking consulting firm, Meridyne, and raised capital for multiple startup businesses. John beamed integrity, devotion and courage. He was a poet, artist, and a historian and had a great sense of humor. He deeply loved his family, friends and Jesus. Together he and his wife co-authored "The Savior's Miracles". John was friendly, compassionate, a good sport and he loved studying data and playing games. John is survived by his loving wife, Kaye, and their children, Chris and Renee; his sister, Jane Sigmon and husband, Mike; Robert and Verona Vernon; Valerie Vernon; Whittney and Britt Lyon and Jerrianne Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials can be made to Jesus House or Skyline Urban Ministries. Services will be Saturday, February 13, 1:30 pm, at St. Luke's Methodist Church, 222 NW 15.
