March 10, 1933 - Nov 30, 2012 TAMPA, FL David Carl Guild, known professionally as David Grant, died peacefully on November 30, 2012, at home in Tampa, FL, with his beloved wife, Beverly, at his side. He was born March 10, 1933, in Oklahoma City.His education included: Classen High School; a B.A. in Government, University of Oklahoma; and completed meteorology studies, Oklahoma State University. He served as president of the Board of Deacons of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was one of the youngest members of the Oklahoma State Symphony. He served in the USAF as a Wing Weather Officer and Major, USAF Reserve. As television broadcast meteorologist, David Grant, his career began in 1960 at KWTV, Oklahoma City; was Chief Meteorologist at television stations in Atlanta, Seattle and Houston and Tampa.
